The Sandford St. Martin Trust has been involved in promoting innovative, high quality religious programming since 1978. While a Church of England trust, the organisation presents awards to programmes which reflect on the wide range of beliefs and faith traditions.
HISTORY
Since its beginnings in 1978, the Sandford St. Martin Trust has sought to support the highest standard of thoughtful, rigorous, skilled media engagement with moral, ethical and religious subjects.

In honour of the 30th anniversary of the Trust the distinguished Scottish composer James MacMillan spoke on The Divine Spark of Music at a special celebration event which took place at the Royal Institure of British Architects on 1 October 2008. Dr. MacMillan is a lay member of the Dominican Order of Preachers. Dame Joan Bakewell moderated the follow-up discussion. The lecture was subsequently broadcast on Radio 4.
